Animal Control

General Information
The Charlotte County animal control officer operates and maintains the County's Animal Shelter located in Charlotte Court House. This officer enforces all state and county laws as they pertain to domestic animals.

Reporting Animal Control Issues
If you need to report an animal control issue, a case of suspected animal abuse or a lost pet please contact Glenn Johnson, Animal Control Officer.  For after-hours animal control emergencies please contact the Charlotte County Sheriff's Office at (434) 542-5141.

Animal Adoptions
