GRANT OPPORUNITY
Charlotte County CARES Business Recovery Grant Program


To assist Charlotte County's small businesses during the pandemic, the Board of Supervisors approved a local grant program, funded by $150,000 of federal CARES Act funds. This program will provide qualifying small businesses up to $10,000 (based on the number of employees) to support rent, mortgage payments, utility expenses, or other similar expenses that occur in the ordinary course of business. Completed applications must be hand-delivered or mailed to Charlotte County Administration, PO Box 608, 250 LeGrande Avenue, Suite A, Charlotte Court House, VA  23923 or e-mailed to County Administrator Dan Witt at dwitt@charlottecountyva.gov

Applications will be accepted from October 19th at 9am to November 20th at 3pm. Qualified applications will be funded on a first come, first served basis in accordance with the date & time applications are received by the County Administration Office.

LOCAL INFORMATION


Effective May 29th, everyone inside a business open to the public is required to wear a face covering or mask in accordance with Executive Order Sixty-Three with exceptions as noted in the Order.

Additional operational procedures designed to protect public health are in place and those visiting County offices are asked to abide by these procedures for the protection of themselves, County employees and others.  


Due to continuing concerns regarding COVID-19, citizens are still encouraged to contact County staff by telephone, e-mail or fax during normal business hourss whenever possible to conduct necessary business.
